Site News

This site is now running with Wordress. Unfortunately I had to break all links, so please update any bookymarks/feeds.

There is also a slight change in design (the text is now 100 pixel wider). Please contact me, if the design is not working at your browser (and you do not use Netscape older than version 6 oder Internet Explorer before version 5.0).

I uploaded some pictures from the ÖMO (Austrian Mathematical Olypmiad) and IMO (International Mathematical Olympiad) 2003. I know, it is already 2005, but better late than never.

Some of these pictures were already available at oemo.at

As my webhost recently doubled my the disksize I'm allowed to use (without charging more :-) ), I decided to finally create a gallery of photos by me in addition to the photos I upload to my flickr account. At the moment the only pictures available online are the ones I took yesterday while sitting around at Vienna's Karlsplatz and waiting for an appointment with a prof at university.

After a short offline period my site is back online again. Serendipity destroyed the whole site when I wanted to upgrade to the newest version. Yes -- I had a backup, but somehow it did not work correctly and I wanted to seize the oppertunity to ditch s9y. So now I try my luck with pLog. I could rescue all old entries, but the comments are lost to the new software, as manually writing the database entries is just to much work :-) .

Over the next couple of days I'll learn a bit about the pLog plugin infrastructure to bring back the booklog and I'll hopefully find a more creative template than the standard one.

Welcome to my first (well, the first noteworthy) personal website. I will useboth Englisch and German on these pages. German for more personal textsand those that will only be interesting to German-speaking readers, andEnglish for everything else, especially for more technical texts. Thissite will (hopefully) experience an dynamic growth. I won't put big"under construction" signs anywhere on these pages, as they areconstantly under construction. Don't be repelled by the horrible designof the webpages, it will improve like everything else. Btw, itcurrently looks best in Mozilla-derived browsers;because I use the nonstandard CSS property "-moz-border-radius".Also please don't be repelled by my English. It is not my nativelanguage, but again I am trying to do my best.
